WELCOME! We are a very diverse Roman Catholic parish of over
350 families in the Fort Garry neighborhood of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada! The origins of our parish date back to 1861 when Bishop Tache built a small schoolhouse on the east side of the Red River and entrusted it to the Grey Nuns, who then had a small chapel built inside the school. Since then we've grown to become a diverse community that includes the parish, a daycare, nursery school and the largest Catholic co-educational school in the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, St. Maurice. PLEASE JOIN US AT ONE OF OUR SUNDAY MASSES: Saturday at 4:00PM, Sunday at 9:30AM, 11:30AM & 8:00PM (Gathering Rite begins 10 minutes before each Mass) For weekday Mass times, please refer to the schedule in the Weekly Bulletin ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WORK ON OUR PARISH CEMETERY IS ON-GOING!
Thanks to all who turned up on Saturday, May 12th for the clean-up day at the cemetery. It was great fun, everyone was in high spirits and the weather was wonderful. We raked, put down new soil to fill in the low spots, righted some grave markers and made a lot of much needed improvements to the general appearance of the property. The Knights of Columbus barbecued a welcome lunch of hamburgers, hotdogs which were served along with salads and refreshing drinks. All in all it was a great community builder and it was so successful that we all decided to repeat the event in September.
